St Catharines, Ontario- 1947 An OHA Junior A team, the TeePees were started by George Stauffer president of Thompson Products Ltd. who purchased the St Catherine Falcons team for $2500. He named the team after the company’s initials (T.P.)…but later appropriated the Native American TeePee and mascot. They dominated all 6 years of their existence, mostly because the had future Chicago Blackhawk Hall of Famers, Phil Esposito, Stan Mikita, and Bobby Hull on their ice.
