Chicago ILLs cca. 1919 Athletic Clubs played a critical role in the proliferation of organized sport in this country. Small neighborhood athletic clubs like the one in Logan Square actually played many of the established professional teams, like the Chicago Cardinals, Decatur Stayles, and the Rock- Island Independents. Knute Rockney, arguably the greatest college football coach of all time may have even donned a Logan Square AC shirt at one time! This classic design was printed using water-based inks.
