Los Angeles 1943 Part of the American Basketball League, the LA Shamrocks were sponsored by J.P. Carroll. The team staffed players like Art "Stork" Stoefen from Stanford and future Hall of Fame coach Alex Hannum. Hannum led Wilt Chamberlain and the 76ers to the 1967 NBA championship thus ending an 8 year Boston Celtics title streak. He also just happens to be one of the only three coaches to win championships with two different teams, his other being the St. Louis Hawks in '58 also over...the Celtics!
