Pasadena, Cal. - 1910
One of six teams in the Southern California Trolley League and one of only two professional baseball teams ever in Pasadena, the Silk Sox had a short and rocky existence. The Trolley League had aspirations of year round baseball in sunny southern California, but sadly only lasted one season. Unfortunately the Sox lost out on Hall of Famer and Orange County native Walter Johnson to another Sox team in the same league...the Yellow Sox.
The Silk Sox sadly folded with an 0-4 record a month after the birth of the league. Why make the shirt? Well we’re a Chicago company and the White Sox happened to make Brookside Park their spring training home for 15 years in the 1930s and 40s. This Peoples Original Design is an homage to them both.
