Brooklyn, NY - 1951 An homage to Willard Mullin, this shirt is an adaptation from a 1950's baseball pennant. The bum itself is quite different than Mullin's beautifully dirty character that appeared in the New York World-Telegram, but the similarities are obvious. The story goes that Mullin hopped in a cab after a Dodgers game and his driver asked how "them bums" did today. Mullin based his character off of Emmett Kelly's hobo/clown figure "Weary Willie".
