Americans love sports; unfortunately our understanding of its history is limited to a few superstar stories, think Babe Ruth and Jerry West. However, sports in this country has been a shared passion and social equalizer for the countless peoples and communities that dotted its landscape. We believe the stories of these people are just as important as West or Ruth.
Peoples Garment Company is dedicated to uncovering this shared history that has unfortunately gathered dust. Designed and printed in Chicago, our apparel reflects these forgotten stories in their traditional minimalist aesthetic. Each item is screen printed locally on super soft garments with water-based ink that is mixed by hand which can result in slight variation in the color, placement of the design.
